Album of material related to the Jean de Sperati case (see description); Jean de Sperati; 1940s; Printed; bound; approx. 50 pag.; hardcover; very fine;" An extensive file on the case of Jean de Sperati, who needs no further introduction, including some truly exceptional items, such as the original expert report from December 1943 commissioned by the Court of Appeal in Chambéry and signed by Edmond Locard, which clearly states (and argues) that the stamps produced by Sperati are genuine. There are also several handwritten and signed letters from Sperati himself, drafts of some of his most important articles from the period of the trial, the first drafts for the articles promoting his 1947 book "La philatélie sans experts" (Philately without experts), as well as a wealth of newspaper articles from around the world reporting on the case. It is impossible to overestimate the importance and philatelic significance of this work. It has been methodically and carefully compiled and provides a unique insight into what is perhaps the most important "case" in philately."

Schaubecks Illustriertes Abarten-Album; Schaubeck; C.F. Lücke G.m.b.H., Leipzig; ca. 1920; Printed; bound; German; approx. 700 pag.; hardcover; as new;" The first edition of a specialised Schaubeck World Album entirely devoted to VARIETIES, completely new and untouched by any stamp or hinge, without pencil marks or other annotations, making it without doubt one of the greatest rarities in the "albums" section of philatelic literature, and even a great rarity in philatelic literature in general. It is highly unlikely that more than a few (if any) Schaubeck albums from the standard editions have been preserved complete and absolutely untouched by any stamps or hinges. However, this album, entirely devoted to varieties, is in itself a great rarity, in whatever condition (the cataloguer has not seen a single other copy in any condition in more than 20 years of a very active philatelic career). The fact that it is completely untouched and never used makes it even more exceptional."

Sketchbook with printed cancellations from 1928; Printed; stapled; approx. 70 pag.; soft cover; in good condition; An absolutely unique collection of three sketchbooks used in 1928 by a collector (most likely of Italian origin) to collect examples of the postmarks in use at various post offices, mostly in Italy but also in Monaco and Mons in Belgium (!!!). Many postmasters cooperated by also signing the pages on which they applied the postmarks, some even applied the various postage labels in use (e.g. Express, etc.). It is difficult to overestimate the importance and uniqueness of these items, a piece of pure philatelic history in book form.
