The Work of Jean de Sperati Parts I + II, Second Edition; British Philatelic Association; British Philatelic Association, London; 1955; Printed; bound; English; 214 + 145 pag.; hardcover; very fine; The second edition of the renowned reference work on the forgeries of Jean de Sperati, undoubtedly the greatest philatelic forger of all time, complete in two volumes including the photo plates, plus a selection of various photos of later Sperati productions (when they were already marked as such). the text section is numbered 86 of the Library Edition of 500, the plate section comes from the library of Alain von der Weid (the famous Swiss expert), the cover is a little rough around the edges but the pages are in very good condition, a rare and indispensable book for the serious philatelist.
