The Encyclopaedia of British Empire Postage Stamps (vols. 1-6, all first editions); Robson Lowe; Robson Lowe Ltd., London; 1947 - 1991; Printed; bound; English; hardcover; very fine; volumes 1 - 6 of one of the most famous series of reference works ever produced in philately, Robson Lowe's Encyclopaedia, including the first edition of volume 1 (Europe) from 1947, as well as a duplicate of the same in the form of a later edition from 1952, the first edition of volume 2 (Africa) from 1949, the first edition of volume 3 (Asia) from 1951, 1962 first edition of volume 4 (Australasia) - this one with the 1976 supplement included - 1973 first edition of volume 5 (North America) and 1991 first edition of volume 6 (Leeward Islands), dust jackets in varying condition or missing altogether, but the books themselves in very good condition, a rare collection of first editions and a very important group.
