1842 Rare international business letter: Anglo-French commercial correspondence via the London Foreign Office to Lyon, addressed to Garcin Noally & Cote, franked with an 1840 “2d. – plate I”, “lettered RE” with red “Maltese Cross”; the letter is of great postal-historical interest due to this combination; the stamp has four fine margins, very fine (S.G. £2,750 for a standard domestic letter, so this letter is considerably more valuable)
