1843 pre-philatelic cover from Alexandria to MALTA, with "ALEXANDRIE (EGYPTE)" departure c.d.s. on the front and Maltese disinfection cachet alongside (as well as disinfection slits, as usual), framed "P.P." and scarce Maltese "15 Apr 1d" single-line handstamp on the back (indicating 1 penny due on arrival), re-folded for display and in overall great condition, signed Gregory Todd, a scarce cover to an equally scarce destination, vf
